Chinese Zodiac Series (Part 2 - Chicken/Rooster)

Hi all. I am continuing on with the Chinese Zodiac Series. Next in line is the chicken.

Pokemon brings back so many memories from childhood. In order to thank others for free patterns in form of blog tutorials and youtube videos, I decided to offer one of my own. Hope you enjoy Chibi Pikachu as much as I did :)

Minnie Mouse Crochet Headband (Hairband) Pattern

Minnie Mouse Crochet Headband (Hairband)

It is my first time writing a crochet pattern.
Hope you all enjoy :)


Materials:
4.5mm/US7 Crochet Hook
Red Yarn (8 Ply Scarlet Carnival Yarn)
Black Yarn (8 Ply Black Carnival Yarn)
Basic Headband (You can get a cheap one from a discount store)


Ears (Make 2 of them):

  1. Make MR 6st (6)
  2. Inc around (12)
  3. *Inc, sc* around  (18)
  4. *Inc, 2sc* around (24)
  5. *Inc, 3sc* around (30)
  6. Sc around (30)
  7. *Dec, 3sc* around (24)
  8. *Dec, 2sc* around (18)
  9. *Dec, sc* around (12)
  10. Fill with stuffing, and shape the ear so it is a nice circular shape.
  11. *Dec* around (6)
  12. Bind Off, Tuck in loose ends. Flatten ear.

Bow: 
  1. Ch 23, join to beginning by slip stitch. (22)
  2. Ch2. HDC around. Slip stitch to join to beginning. 
  3. Repeat Step 2 4 times.
  4. Bind off. Tuck in loose ends.
  5. Wind Red yarn around middle of the material to form a bow.


Assembly:

Time to put it together! Wahoo!

 





  1. Slide the ear onto the headband (use the edge of the ear rather than the center).
  2. Slide the bow on through the centre where the yarn was wound before.
  3. Slide the remaining ear on.
